Mirabella is a mineral-based cosmetics brand. Its new Blush Colour Duos come in 3 shade pairings. The duo Merry, which contains a blue-based, bubblegum pink on the left and a cerise pink on the right, is reviewed below.
Packaging: 9.25/10
This blush duo comes in a rectangular compact made of silver plastic. The lid has a full-sized mirror inside and the packaging is light-weight.
Quality: 8/10
Both colors in the Merry duo are very pigmented and bright. Normally, this would be a good thing. But the formula for both blushes is stiff and on the dry side. This characteristic, paired with strong pigmentation, makes for a blush that applies strong color but in an uneven manner. The overall effect looks patchy and uneven unless you spend extra time working with the product.
Both colors leave a satin-matte finish. I find that the color fades slightly after about 6 hours.
Ease of Use: 7.5/10
I have worn the colors in this duo about half a dozen times, and each time, application takes a lot of work. I’ve found that you get the best effect by first applying the colors with a fan brush, which helps you control the amount you apply and avoid a clown effect from the bright colors. Next, I buff out the colors with a very fluffy powder brush, which helps even out the otherwise patchy application.
Price: 7.5/10
For $30.00 you get 4 grams (0.14 ounces) of product. Despite what visually seems to be a lot of product in the compact, you get much less blush than you do with other brands’ blush duos and you pay significantly more.

These look very pretty in the pan, its a shame they are difficult to work with.
