Blemish Balm, also called BB Cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to soothe and regenerate the skin.
The M Perfect Cover BB Cream gives an even and natural-looking coverage with the soothing, moisturising properties of a cream. It is suitable for all skin types including acne-prone skin, and can be used as a makeup base or foundation.
Missha’s famous M Perfect Cover BB Cream is a “blemish balm” that is said to help soothe and heal the skin. This skincare-foundation product comes in five (5) shades. This review shows shade No. 13 Milky Beige–the lightest of all the shades.
This BB Cream comes in an opaque, plastic squeeze-tube with a pump dispenser that is easy to control.
No. 13 Milky Beige is the lightest shade Missha offers for its M Perfect Cover BB Cream. It’s a little too pale for my NC20 skin, and so would suit NC15 skin the best. But the shade, besides being too light, has a grey undertone to it, which I find makes my skin look a bit ashy. Even on lighter skin, I don’t think this grey tone is flattering.
The BB cream has a cream-liquid consistency that spreads easily over the skin. It provides light to medium coverage. I feel like the formula doesn’t sink completely into the skin, so you have to do extra blending to smooth away streaks. And there’s a feeling of the product sitting on top of the skin, even after you’ve given the BB Cream time to set.
This product also doesn’t do anything to keep oiliness at bay. If anything, I feel like this cream makes me look more oily during the day. I definitely set it with powder to reduce this effect.
I do really appreciate that this BB Cream provides broad-spectrum sun protection. But this BB cream also contains fragrance, which irritates the skin. The fragrance is very noticeable, and I could still smell it on my skin an hour after application.
Also, contrary to the company’s claims, this BB cream does not contain any ingredients that would help fight acne.
Ease of Use: 8.5/10
The consistency of the BB cream makes it easy to spread across the skin. But you need to blend out the streaks and may need to use a setting powder on top, as well as a bronzing powder to counteract the grey tone to shade No. 13.
For $29.99 you get 50 ml of product. This is a lot of product and a very reasonable price for a BB Cream.
