A moisture-rich cream blush formula that provides smooth, silky color for naturally luminous skin. The velvety texture delivers long-lasting color and blends easily natural-looking color.
This review is for NARS’ Montenegro Cream Blush, which the company describes as a rich mahogany.
The NARS Cream Blush packaging is made of NARS’ classic rubberized black plastic and has a lid with a mirror inside that snaps shut. The outside of the packaging is a magnet for powder products, which makes it difficult to keep clean.
Montenegro is a deep mahogany red shade. The pigmentation is strong, but if you apply the blush in a very thin layer, you can get a softer, neutral, brown-based shade for the cheeks. Or, you can apply a thicker layer for a strong red-brown color.
In the pan, Montenegro technically has very tiny silver shimmer particles, but they don’t translate once the cream is applied to the cheeks, so you get a mostly matte finish.
The blush has a smooth, creamy formula that blends over the skin pretty evenly. The color stayed the same for the first six (6) hours of wear.
Ease of Use: 9/10
This blush transfers onto the skin and blends out smoothly, layering effectively.
For $28.00 you get 0.19 ounces (5.5 grams) of blush. You get more blush for the price compared to Make Up For Ever and Bobbi Brown cream blushes.
