Modern, unique, sometimes unexpected color combinations of eyeshadow shades. Worn alone or together, all Duo Eyeshadow shades feature micro-fine powders that are highly pigminted, longwearing and crease resistant. Color glides on smoothly, evenly and blends effortlessly. The effects can be subtle or smoldering — the options are endless.
NARS’ Duo Eyeshadow in Dogon contains a metallic taupe with icy green sheen and a charcoal black. Keep reading for photos, swatches, and my thoughts on the quality of this duo.
The NARS Duo Eyeshadow packaging is made of NARS’ classic rubberized black plastic and has a lid with a mirror inside that snaps shut. The outside of the packaging is a magnet for powder products, which makes it difficult to keep clean.
On the left, Dogon contains a very pale taupe with a silvery, almost green sheen. The color has a hint of duo-chrome characteristic to it. On the right is a soft, matte, almost-blue black shade with tiny, dispersed silver shimmer. Both sides have great pigmentation.
The formula for both shades has the correct amount of softness so that the colors apply to the skin with good pigmentation and also blend out easily.
The formula lasts about five (5) hours on my lids without primer and over seven (7) hours over primer before creasing.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
Applying these shadows is very easy. The formula glides onto the skin, blends out nicely, and doesn’t produce fall-out.
For $34.00 you get 0.14 ounces (4 grams) of shadow. NARS’ single shadows cost $24.00 and contain half the amount of product, so you are getting a good deal for your money by investing in the Duos.
