Peter Lamas’ Soy Hydrating line offers a shampoo and conditioner for chemically treated, dry, or damaged hair. Both hair products are reviewed, below.
The shampoo and conditioner come packaged in squeezable, plastic bottles with flip-up caps.
Both the shampoo and conditioner have a light, natural, herb-y scent that smells wonderful. If you are a fan of herb or spice scents (think Nettle, Eucalyptus, etc.), you will probably love this scent. It isn’t an overwhelming or medicinal fragrance and the shampoo and conditioner leave just a trace of the scent behind after your hair is dry.
The shampoo gives off a medium lather. The best thing about this shampoo is that it cleans without leaving the hair feeling stripped or brittle afterward. I also know that a lot of guys don’t “believe in” conditioner. This is a good shampoo for anyone who wants a shampoo that will clean without drying out the scalp.
The conditioner is thinner than many others. It leaves a slight film on the hair after rinsing. Again, the best thing about this product is that it is lightweight. It gives the hair softness without weighing it down. I have thin hair, so finding a conditioner that hydrates while also not weighing down my hair is important.
Ease of Use: 9/10
Both of these products are easy to distribute throughout your hair and are also easy to rinse out.
Each product costs $18.00 and contains 12 ounces. This is slightly less than comparable brands’ hydrating shampoos and conditioners, which hover around $20.00 for this amount of product.
