This lipstick comes in a very sleek, white, square, metal tube. The lid and base are magnetically attracted. The actual lipstick is also grooved.
This is a classic orange with a pinch of salmon in it. The color has a somewhat glossy, translucent finish on the lips. You can build up the color and deepen the finish by applying further layers.
The formula doesn’t seem like it would be too smooth or moisturizing, but it is quite emollient and gives a lot of moisture to the lips.
My biggest criticism is that the lipstick has a strong, fake, sweet scent. Fortunately, the scent doesn’t persist after it is on the lips. But even the initial application will bother someone who is sensitive to scents.
Ease of Use: 9/10
This lipstick transfers onto the skin well. The finish is a little uneven on the first couple passes, so you do want to blend or layer to get a smooth surface.
For $18.00 you get 0.1 ounces of lipstick. MAC lipsticks cost $14.50 and contain the same amount. The packaging for Sephora’s lipstick is definitely more luxurious than MAC’s standard packaging, but it’s still at a high price-point given Sephora’s mid-range place in the market.
