Company’s Description
Transform your eyelids into pure silk with these creamy, lightweight shadows. Micronized pigments deliver rich color and unprecedented blendability to ensure comfort and a flawless, luminous finish. The brilliant shades were inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Year, Tangerine Tango—a juicy, vivacious orange sure to brighten your day. Shadows range from creamy matte to a frosted shimmer, each promising bold color that lasts. The palette’s ultra sleek design is a nod to the iconic Pantone chip and the unique embossing is an architectural interpretation of a tangerine’s voluptuous, layered shape.
Sephora has partnered with Pantone for a collection featuring the “Color of the Year”: Tangerine Tango. This review is for the Eyeshadow Quad, which includes the following colors: Scallop Shell (nude), Carnelian (orange), Sparrow (plum), and Pavement (black glitter).

Packaging: 10/10
This quad comes in a white well and has a frosted, plastic lid. The lid connects to the pan via 4 little magnets, one on each corner. The lid fits very securely.
Quality: 8.25/10
Scallop Shell is a shimmery cream color. It applies rich, opaque color in a smooth layer and has a creamy formula.
Carnelian is quite crumbly, but gives good color payoff. It is a burnt orange with lots of golden shimmers.
Although Sephora describes Sparrow as a plum, there is almost no purple hue to the color. Instead, it applies most like a deep brown. The color is not opaque and applies unevenly. It requires a lot of layers to intensify the color and even-out the finish. The color technically has light purple shimmers in it, but they only show up a little bit on the skin.
Pavement is a black with silver glitters. Like Sparrow, it doesn’t apply opaquely or evenly and requires layering. It is better quality than Sparrow, though, and has a soft formula.
Ease of Use: 8.5/10
Expect to apply multiple layers of Sparrow and Pavement, and some layers of Carnelian. The overall creamy formula does make application smooth and pleasant (though not always even).
Price: 9.75/10
