Company’s Description
This product glides onto the skin smoothly to create a naturally contoured look. You can create a multidimensional look with the blush and the highlighters add a depth and glowing radiance to the skin.
Shiseido is a Japanese brand that is available through Sephora. The company’s Luminizing Satin Face Color comes in five (5) color combinations. This review is for the shade Carnation, which is a petal pink color.
Packaging: 9.25/10
This blush comes in a sleek, flat, square palette made of plastic. The top flips open to reveal a small powder brush and a full-sized mirror.
Quality: 9.5/10
Carnation is a very pretty, medium-light pink color. The blush leaves a satin finish, so while there’s no shimmery quality to the powder, it also is not entirely matte.
Carnation is actually quite pigmented, despite the way it may look in the photos, below. It can be used in a very sheer layer, but if you pick up a good amount on your brush or apply two layers, it gives off pretty strong color.
The powder looks very natural on the skin–like it sinks into the skin instead of sitting on top of it. I don’t have any problems with the blush fading for the first six (6) hours of wear.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
This powder blends out smoothly over the skin and transfers a good amount of color.
Price: 9.25/10
For $30.00 you get 0.22 ounces of product. This is a more-than-average amount of product for the price-point.

I own just 1 Shiseido blush so far (Petal) and it’s really lovely in texture and pigmentation. I plan on getting Carnation next! A tip about the packaging – the blush can be easily depotted by poking a pin through a hole in the back – there’s only a dab of glue that’s very pliable holding the pan in place.
