Fresh Daily! With this Shop M·A·C compact of four cool-n-spicy coral eye shadows, eyes find their look-du-jour! Easy to spot in its delicious Shop M·A·C packaging.
This review is for the Call Me Bubbles eye shadow quad that comes with MAC’s upcoming Shop MAC / Cook MAC Collection. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:
- Call Me Bubbles (Satin): Light tan
- Fresh Daily (Frost): Orange
- Brash (Veluxe Pearl): Frosty reddish copper (Repromote)
- Full of Flavour (Matte): Coral
This quad is packaged in a standard MAC container–a plastic 2-by-2 palette with a see-through, flip-up, magnetized lid. The outer box packaging has a retro, throw-back design.
Call Me Bubbles is a slightly frosty off-white with a very slight hint of tan. This color doesn’t go on quite as effortlessly as Laundry Daze from the Colour Added quad, but still has good payoff and would make a good highlighter.
Fresh Daily is a wonderfully rich, shimmery tangerine color. The shadow applies very smoothly and has great pigmentation.
Full of Flavour is a matte, muted coral with fantastic color payoff and pigmentation. What’s more impressive is that despite being a matte color (MAC’s matte formulas are, historically, disappointing), the shadow is creamy and applies very evenly.
Brash is metallic reddish copper. It also has fantastic pigmentation and color payoff, applying smoothly and evenly.
This quad is fantastic and contains the highest-quality shadows of the 3 quads released in this collection. If you limit yourself to one eye shadow product from this collection, this quad should be it!
Ease of Use: 9.8/10
All of the shadows have creamy formulations that transfer onto the skin without any fuss or need for extensive layering.
Single shadows are (now) $15.00 each, so for four colors, $38.00 is a very good deal.
