Creamy, easy to blend medium coverage formula imparts a natural finish that’s smooth, dewy-fresh, long lasting. The icing on the cake: the collection’s signature gingham outer packaging.
This review is for the 3 Cremeblend Blushes that come with MAC’s upcoming Shop MAC / Cook MAC Collection. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:
- Optimistic Orange: Bright orange (Repromote)
- Florida: Bright fuchsia (Repromote)
- Restores Dazzle!: Rich plum
This packaging is exactly the same as the packaging for the previous Blushcremes. The compacts are made of black plastic and snap shut. They’re durable and lightweight–good for taking in your kit or traveling with. The outer box packaging has a retro, throw-back design.
Optimistic Orange is a bright, classic orange color. Florida is a medium, blue-based pink (i.e. fuchsia). Restores Dazzle! isn’t quite purple enough to be a “plum,” but is, instead, a soft cardinal red.
All of these colors are richly pigmented. The formula is creamy and smooth, applying opaquely without being oily. The cream formula can give you a dense, bold finish with strong color, or a translucent finish with more subtle color. Either way, these blushes maintain their rich pigmentation.
I also find these longer-wearing than other cream blushes I regularly use. Particularly if you set your face with powder or put a powder blush on top, you can expect these cream blushes to last all day without noticeable fading.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
