Fluidline’s gel formula is a simple way to create the gourmet line. Provides the precision of a liquid liner with a silkier finish. Applies with a brush in a dip-and-stroke action.
This review is for the 3 new Fluidlines releasing with MAC’s upcoming Shop MAC / Cook MAC Collection. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:
- Midnight Snack: Soft black
- Wholesome: Blackened brown
- Added Goodness: Blackened mauve
Fluidlines come in small glass jars with twist-off tops. The packaging keeps the product from drying out effectively. The outer box packaging is decorated with a retro plaid design.
Midnight Snack is a deep grey with lots of silver glitters.
Wholesome is a deep brown that looks like a soft black on the lids. This color isn’t as creamy to the touch as the other 2, but I didn’t see much of a difference in the finished result when applying it on the lids.
Added Goodness is a deep, shimmery taupe with a silvery sheen. MAC says this is a blackened mauve, but I don’t see any purple hue.
All the Fluidlines have good color payoff, but they aren’t completely opaque. The formula is creamy and smooth, gliding onto the skin without any tugging or skipping.
These are very long-wearing and smudge-resistant.
Ease of Use: 8.75/10
These glide on effortlessly because of the creamy formula but you will want to layer to strengthen the finish.
Fluidlines cost $15.00 each and contain 3 grams of liner. These will last you a very, very long time.
