A highly pigmented blusher to brighten and define cheekbones. The silky-fine formulation provides long lasting blusher which helps to create a subtle but radiant cheek area.
Sleek is a UK-based beauty brand. The company’s line of blushes offers 10 colors total. This review is for the blush in the color Sunrise–a deep, burnt, brick red with gold pearls.
Sleek’s blushes come in flat, rectangular compacts with rubbery plastic packaging. The compacts conveniently have a mirror inside the lid. These are smaller than you might expect, at around 2.5-by-1.5 inches. The compact is very lightweight yet durable, making it perfect for traveling with. It won’t take up much room but will withstand potential tossing around in your luggage.
Sunrise has strong pigmentation. The formula has medium softness and isn’t powdery. The shimmers are very finely milled.
When applied with a powder brush, I found it slightly less even on application than with the previous Sleek blushes I’ve used (Suede and Pomegranate). So it does require a little more layering and blending.
Otherwise, this is a high quality blush, just like the other colors have proven to be. It doesn’t fade throughout the day.
Sunrise is a great bronzing color for summer and would make an equally great, everyday blush for deeper skin colors.
Ease of Use: 9/10
The powder glides onto the skin nicely but is slightly patchy on initial application, so you’ll probably want to add another layer or blend the powder into the skin.
Though the compact is small, you get a full 8 grams of beautiful blush for $6.50! This blush contains more product than the average drugstore compact.
