Company’s Description
Developed in our studios to take long-wearing color to the next level! These super luxe, super saturated shadows glide on and stay put, even through the longest photo shoots.
Smashbox’s new Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadows are available in 12 shades. The color Sapphire–a deep, royal blue with pearlized pigments–is reviewed below.
Packaging: 9/10
This shadow is packaged much like a MAC Paint Pot or Maybelline’s Color Tattoo shadows. It’s housed in a glass jar with a plastic, twist-on cap.
Quality: 7.5/10
Sapphire is a deep blue made beautiful by its tiny shimmers, which flash purple, light blue, and silver. Unfortunately, these colors can only really be seen up close and don’t show through when the product is on the lid.
This color has medium creaminess and softness to it. The color can be sheered out, blended, or layered to deepen the color. Sapphire has decent pigmentation.
As for the 15-hour claim, this color fell well short. I didn’t really see creasing, but the color faded after 3-4 hours on the lid. My MAC Paint Pot colors don’t do this. So this color is best suited as a base for a blue shadow; I wouldn’t use this color alone on the lids.
Ease of Use: 9/10
You can apply this product with your finger or a flat brush. You can also layer the color and blend it in the crease before it sets.
Price: 8.5/10
For $19.00 you get 5 grams (0.17 ounces) of product. MAC Paint Pots are $17.50 and contain the same amount of product.
