Inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this whimsical eye shadow palette contains 4 eye shadow pans in 8 universally flattering shades. Each pan contains a base shade with a corresponding shadow, which can be paired together or worn alone for a multitude of looks. Stila’s award-winning eye shadow formula can be worn either wet or dry. Used wet, these eye shadows can also be used as eye liners.
Stila’s Bring Out Your Glam eye shadow palette is inspired by the Red Carpet. It contains 4 pans, each with 2 colors:
- Starlet: shimmery mauve
- Ingénue: matte deep purple
- Fame: matte black
- Celebrity: soft shimmery silver
- Cameo: shimmery nude pink
- Heroine: metallic bronze shimmer
- Tinsel Town: matte chocolate brown
- Black Tie: matte pink-beige
This palette comes in a thick cardboard palette with a flip-up, magnetic lid. The lid has a fairly plastic window that allows you to see the shadows inside. The packaging feels a little cheap.
Although Stila’s individual shadows are usually impressive, I have been disappointed by the palettes they’ve been releasing the past couple of years. The Bring Out Your Glam palette is no exception.
The shadows are on the powdery side. The pigmentation is weak, forcing you to layer many times to build up the color and strengthen the finish.
Because of the disappointing quality of the shadows and the powdery formula, I did not feel comfortable using these wet.
Ease of Use: 7.75/10
It’s difficult to get an eye shadow brush into individual colors without hitting the others. You have to be very careful and patient, or use a small brush.
The colors also need to be layered to make the colors show.
For $24.00, you get 10.2 grams (0.36 ounces) of shadow. Stila’s single shadows are $18.00 and contain 2.55 grams (0.09 ounces) each. You get a lot more product for your money, though the value is dampened by the lower quality of this palette’s shadows compared to Stila’s singles.
