Stila’s award-winning Convertible Colors come in 8 different shades. This review is for the shade Lillium–a soft, salmon pink color.
Convertible Colors come in flat, round, plastic compacts that fold shut and contain mirrors inside. The packaging is sleek and very light-weight.
Lillium is a beautifully wearable and intensely pigmented pink shade. It tints the skin in a translucent, even layer that allows the natural texture of your lips and cheeks to show through. The color sinks into the skin instead of sitting on top of it, for a seamless finish.
The formula is a cross between a gel and cream. It melts slightly at the touch and transfers well onto a brush. It blends over the skin evenly without needing the extra layering or buffing that cream blushes often do.
The product doesn’t dry out the lips at all and I don’t even have to apply a lip balm on top in order for my lips to feel moisturized. The formula isn’t emollient the way a balm would be, but it skins into the skin and doesn’t emphasize lip lines.
Lillium lasts on my lips for over two (2) hours, even with light drinking and eating. You can get even more mileage out of the color if you keep a clear balm or gloss applied on top. Rose also maintains its color throughout the day when applied to the cheeks. I have no problems with the color fading or becoming patchy by the end of a 10-hour day. Just make sure your lips are exfoliated. On the lips, Lillium is a lighter color, so it can emphasize any skin flakes.
Ease of Use: 10/10
This color melts into the lips and glides over the cheeks in a smooth, even manner. I don’t have issues with it being splotchy or needing layers the way a lot of cream blushes do.
