This weightless formula is no lightweight: packed with skinvigorating ingredients this tinted moisturizer will keep skin looking and feeling naturally smooth.
This review is for Tarte’s tinted moisturizer, which is available in 9 shades. My shade, reviewed and pictured below, is 06 Agent, which suits lights skin with yellow undertones.
The Smooth Operator Tinted Moisturizer comes in a squeezable plastic tube. This packaging is great for traveling with because it is flexible and keeps the product inside sanitary.
I’ve been very impressed by Tarte’s Amazonian Clay line. And this tinted moisturizer creates no exception.
This product has a gel/cream formula of medium thickness that smooths onto and blends easily into the skin. You get light coverage, so while you’ll need to touch up individual blemishes, you’ll get a noticeably more even and smooth complexion while retaining a natural look.
The product has a slightly dewy finish. I really like that this tinted moisturizer doesn’t break down as the end of the day approaches. It maintains the effect of evening out your complexion and doesn’t get progressively oily over time. When I wear liquid foundations, I usually lightly set my entire face with translucent powder and blot 2 times before the end of a 10-hour day. When I use the Smooth Operator tinted moisturizer, I only powder my T-zone and blot only once in the middle of the day.
Of course, the bonus is that this tinted moisturizer gives you full-spectrum sun protection. It contains both titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. And an SPF of 20 gives you a good amount of sun protection.
Ease of Use: 10/10
Using this tinted moisturizer is hassle-free. You can apply it with your hands or a brush. It spreads and blends into the skin easily.
For $36.00 you get 50 ml (1.7 fl oz) of tinted moisturizer. Philosophy’s tinted moisturizer costs $39.00 and contains the same amount of product.
