Nothing is more satisfying than being indulged. This pink dusty rose rouge will ensure that you have all the boys attending to you. The subtle shimmer catches the eye while the warm undertones provide a glow that is oh-so natural regardless if you are pool-side, beach-side or bed-side.
This review is for theBalm’s blush in Cabana Boy–a dusty rose pink. This review focuses on Cabana Boy’s quality and performance as a blush, though the company states it can also be used as an eye shadow.
This blush comes in a square compact made of thick cardboard with a magnetic closure and a mirror inside the lid. The lid doesn’t stay upright on its own, but since this packaging fits in your palm, this shouldn’t be too much of a problem. The compact is housed in a sleeve designed exactly like the compact itself.
This blush has good pigmentation. The company describes Cabana Boy as a dusty rose pink; I’d describe it as a light fuchsia or a blue-based, medium pink.
The blush has a sheen finish with no distinct shimmers or sparkles. The formula itself has no powdery consistency to it and is just a little less soft than Down Boy.
Like with most blushes from theBalm, this one has great wear-time. It will last you all day without any noticeable fading.
Ease of Use: 10/10
This powder transfers easily onto the skin. You can sheer out the color by using a fan brush or layer it for an intense finish.
For $21.00 you get 8.5 grams (0.3 ounces) of product. In comparison, Down Boy contains 9.9 grams and costs the same amount, so you’re getting less for your money with Cabana Boy.
