These amazing palettes consist of 12 beautiful shadows that make wearing nudes fun! These satiny smooth colors can be applied naturally “i.e. let me slip into something more comfortable” or beautifully layered. The wide range of naked neutrals gives you light highlighters as well as brazen bold shades that work to add definition and emphasis. Nude ‘Tude allows you to dramatically dress up your eyes (if nothing else)!
The Nude ‘tude Eyeshadow Palette by theBalm contains 12 shadows in fairly neutral shades.
This palette comes in heavy cardboard packaging that unfolds and has a magnetic closure. You’ll find a large mirror inside. The eye shadow pans are a little smaller than what I’d prefer. The palette also comes with a brush and a very convenient ribbon that you pull to get the brush out easily. This is a feature I really wish the Naked2 palette had. The lid doesn’t stand upright on it’s own, though, which is less convenient.
Sassy is a frosty, semi-opaque white color that is somewhat powdery.
Stubborn is a light baby pink with a sheen finish that is not powdery.
Selfish is a taupe with very subtle purple undertones and a sheen finish.
Snobby is a tangerine-leaning gold with tiny silver shimmers. The color payoff isn’t good and the powder doesn’t seem to want to adhere to the skin. The shadow is also powdery.
Stand-Offish is slightly powdery and has good color payoff. The color reminds me of Stila’s Kitten but is less pink and has a high shimmer finish.
Sultry is a sable/camel color with a velvet-matte finish and incredible pigmentation.
Sophisticated is a medium brown with tiny gold shimmers with has good pigmentation. It’s not as soft as the other colors.
Sexy is an almost completely opaque maroon with a matte finish. Like Sultry, this color has great payoff.
Serious is an intense matte black color that is very opaque.
Schitzo is an antique gold with a sheen finish. It’s a great color and the formula is soft and smooth.
Silly is a medium-dark brown with medium-sized gold glitters. This color doesn’t go on as evenly as the others.
Sleek is a deep brown with a matte finish and intense pigmentation.
The most impressive part about this palette is the performance of the matte colors. The shimmery colors are good too (except for Snobby), save for some of them being on the powdery side. But the mattes blow most other brands’ matte shadows out of the water. Overall, the shadows are soft and apply smoothly and evenly.
Ease of Use: 9.8/10
These colors are easy to apply because the pigmentation is strong and the formulation is smooth. Some of the colors are powdery, so be aware of fall-out.
For $36.00 you get 12 eye shadows for a total of 11.08 grams of product. The Naked2 palette costs $50 and contains 17 grams of shadow. That makes the Nude ‘tude palette just slightly more expensive.
