theBalm’s Overshadows are loose powder, mineral eye shadows. There are a total of 4 shades, 2 of which are currently sold by Sephora online. The color Work is Overrated–a “shimmering pink champagne”–is reviewed below.
This eye shadow is packaged like many other loose powders–in a plastic jar with a twist-off lid and sifter.
Although theBalm describes this color as a shimmering pink champagne, I don’t see any pink tone to the color. It’s a gorgeous, nude champagne with tiny gold and silver shimmers. It’s a fantastic lid color.
The formula applies smoothly and evenly, giving you good pigmentation. The shadow also adheres well to the skin, so you don’t have to worry about fall-out.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
This shadow is as easy to use as most loose eye shadows are. You’ll have to be more careful since the powder is loose, but the formula applies smoothly on the skin.
For $15.00 you get 0.02 ounces. MAC pigments are $20.00 and contain 0.26 ounces. You actually get an excruciatingly small amount of product for the price–a MAC pigment gives you almost 10-times the amount of shadow for the price.
