Urban Decay’s Urbanglow Cream Highlight is a cream highlighter that can be used on the cheeks, browbone, and anywhere else you’d like to illuminate the skin. The color Brown Sugar–a warm taupey brown–is reviewed below.
This highlighter comes in a plastic, purple compact with a golden skull design on the top–true to Urban Decay’s hip style. Inside, you’ll find a full-sized mirror. The top snaps securely shut.
This cream highlighter has an almost-watery consistency while still being a cream. It’s quite thin to the touch.
The color is more suitable for medium-dark skin if used as a highlighter because of its bronze tone. It is also a great highlighter for light skin if you are pairing it with bronzed cheeks.
The color tints the skin a light taupey-bronze color. The base color is translucent, leaving behind gold shimmers. Brown Sugar gives you medium-intensity highlighting power that can work for both day and night.
The shimmers are small, but they look a bit gritty on the skin, which is my only notable criticism of this product.
The cream wears well; I didn’t see any noticeable fading throughout the day.
Ease of Use: 9.25/10
The thin, cream formula smooths over the skin easily. Just be careful to apply a small amount at a time. Even when using a duo-fibred cream blush brush, I found it easy to pick up too much of the product.
For $24.00 you get 0.17 ounces of product. Compared to Urban Decay’s competitors, this is a high price-point for the amount of product you’re getting. Even higher-end brands like Edward Bess give you much more product for the price.
