Zoya’s Summer 2012 collection is divided into 2 halves: the Beach Collection and the Surf Collection. This post will cover the colors from the Surf Collection:

• Rory: lotus pink foil metallic
• Carly: thalia purple foil metallic
• Kimber: magenta pink foil metallic
• Myrta: coral orange foil metallic
• Meg: mermaid green foil metallic
• Zuza: aquamarine foil metallic

Zoya polishes come in clear glass jars that narrow toward the bottom. The distance from the handle to the brush and the brush length are perfect for controlled application.

Quality: 9.75/10

The Surf Collection, like the Beach Collection, contains wonderful colors for Spring and Summer.

The formula on these colors is fantastic. Every single one of the colors can be worn with just a single coat. They apply very opaquely and evenly without any streakiness or bubbles. Meg and Zuza do show more texture than the other colors, so if that bothers you, you can apply a second coat.

These colors are overflowing with tiny shimmers and they leave a beautiful finish on the nails. Rory, Meg, and Zuza have silver shimmers. Carly and Myrta also contain silver shimmers, but because of the base color, the shimmer looks more gold on the nails. Kimber has gold shimmers and is my favorite color of the bunch. There’s something about the pairing of the gold and rich pink that looks stunning!

Ease of Use: 9.25/10

Zoya’s brush design makes controlled application easy and only needing to apply one coat makes application very quick. You will need to spend more time removing the polish, though, because the shimmers adhere to the skin.

For $8.00, you get 0.5 fl oz of polish. This is on-par with other salon polish brands like China Glaze and OPI.
