She is empowered and invincible, headstrong and beautiful, lethally gorgeous, and regally restless. Revolution is in the air. It’s time to overthrow convention. There’s a new queen in town. Killer Queen by Katy Perry is an intoxicating and charmingly playful floriental fragrance with luscious notes fit for royalty. Inspired by a Queen’s scepter, the jewel-shaped bottle portrays sexy sophistication and luxury. The rich gold crown cap showcases a custom crest capturing Katy Perry’s playful essence.
This review is for Katy Perry’s new Killer Queen Eau de Parfum Spray, which is available at Sephora in three sizes: 1 oz, 1.7 oz, and 3.4 oz.
I’m not one for celebrity fragrances. In fact, the only celebrity fragrance I’ve liked (other than this one) is Lady Gaga’s Fame perfume. But Katy Perry’s Killer Queen is up there with the best of them–celebrity fragrance or not.
First, the bottle is stunning. It has a luxurious feel with its weighty, diamond-shaped glass and red ombre color. The gold cap is made of plastic and tops off this beautiful bottle with a crown-shaped design.
Second, the scent is beautifully alluring. It’s a very sensual, warm fragrance that isn’t masculine or girly. It has a deep berry smell but somehow doesn’t smell fruity or sugary. It also has no alcohol-like smell to it, which means it doesn’t give me a headache.
The scent has good staying power. It’s very noticeable for the first 3 hours of wear, then dies down gradually over the next several hours. Up close, you can still smell the fragrance after 8 hours of wear.
