This potent treatment serum formulated with a high concentration of pure vitamin C (10.5%), known for its powerful ability to improve the appearance of aging, significantly reduces marionette lines around the mouth, crow’s-feet and sub-orbital wrinkles with continued use.
This skincare review is for Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate, which is a Vitamin C-based serum for the face. Keep reading to find out how effective this product is.
This face moisturizer comes in a plastic bottle with a pump applicator, which is great for keeping the product sanitary and the ingredients inside stable. The packaging is nearly opaque, but not quite, so keep it away from sun exposure by keeping it in a drawer or medicine cabinet.
The Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate has a slightly oily texture that I’ve commonly found among cream-based Vitamin C moisturizers. It has the consistency of a serum, plus a little bit of graininess. It leaves a slightly tacky and oily finish on the surface of your skin, so I’d recommend using this as part of your nighttime skincare regime. You might also feel a slight warming sensation once you apply it.
This serum isn’t versatile, but it does do one thing well: provides your skin with a healthy dose of Vitamin C (listed as Ascorbic Acid on the ingredients list). Additionally, the Vitamin C’s effectiveness will last because the product is stably packaged (it’s not in a jar, which is openly exposed to air and sunlight). Ascorbic Acid is a form of Vitamin C and is an antioxidant that can help reduce wrinkles and discoloration. The ingredients also include Adenosine, which can work as an anti-inflammatory. This product doesn’t contain other irritating ingredients like alcohol or fragrance.
