This review is for SkinMedica’s Tri-Retinol Complex–a moisturizer that contains retinol and Vitamin E to help reduce the skin’s signs of aging.
This moisturizer comes in an opaque tube that has a pump applicator. The opaque packaging protects the ingredients inside from sun exposure and the pump keeps the moisturizer sanitary and the ingredients stable.
This product contains a list of effective ingredients helpful for reducing the skin’s signs of aging. Retinyl Palmitate, Retinyl Acetate, and Retinol are all forms of Vitamin A, which serves as an anti-oxidant and anti-ager for your skin. All three of these ingredients show up at the beginning of the ingredients list, so you are getting a fair dose of them. This moisturizer also doesn’t contain any problematic fragrance or alcohol ingredients.
The formula is light on the skin and doesn’t leave any oily or greasy film. In fact, I’ve found it’s a little too light if you have dry skin and requires the addition of a heavier moisturizer for dry spots.
