This high-impact lipstick imparts rich, intense colour with a creamy, ultra-matte finish. Hydrating formula glides on comfortably and stays in place.
Becca’s new Ultimate Matte Lip colours are said to impart intense color with a hydrating formula. This lipstick comes in eight (8) different shades. This review is for the shade Josephine–a crimson color.
This lipstick comes in a sleek, light-weight tube made of reflective silver plastic.
Josephine is a true, neutral, matte, blood red shade. You have the freedom to make this color sheer or more opaque. Either way, the color is smooth and even over the skin. The pigmentation is strong.
This is a great matte formula lipstick. It’s not super-moisturizing, but it’s absolutely not drying. It doesn’t settle into lip lines.
The formula adheres closely to the skin, making the lipstick longer wearing than average (a good three (3) hours before needing re-application). Plus, the color leaves behind a soft stain, giving you the benefit of extended color.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
This formula is easy to apply, whether you want to have a sheerer or stronger layer of color. The color is bold, so apply the lipstick slowly.
For $24.00 you get 0.06 ounces (2 grams) of product. NARS’ Pure Matte Lipstick costs $26.00 and contains 0.07 ounces. Matte formulas tend to cost more per ounce, so while this price-point and amount are typical, it’s less than you’d get with a different formula lipstick.
