Company’s Description

An ultrahydrating crease-control concealer. Cover-up goes incognito. This moisturizing crease-control concealer with vitamin E and apple seed extract hides dark circles and diffuses fine lines for a silky smooth, ultranatural look. Available in three shades, it’s proven to keep skin hydrated for six hours and won’t cake, crease, or settle.

Benefit’s new Fake Up concealer comes in three (3) shades and is said to be ultra-hydrating and crease-resistant. This review is for the concealer in the shade Light.

Packaging: 9.25/10

This concealer comes in a tube that twists at the base to push the product up. The tube is made of very light-weight, reflective, silver plastic.

Quality: 9.75/10

This concealer comes in the form of a lipstick-type bullet. The bullet consists of a clear balm in the outer ring and the concealer in the center.

The concealer glides onto the skin, leaving a glossy sheen from the outer, clear balm and a somewhat dewy finish from the cream concealer. The cream consistency is moisturizing, making it great for the under-eye area. It also works on other areas of the face, though, without looking oily or greasy.

Though this concealer isn’t crease-proof, it does a good job of keeping patchiness or the appearance of flaky, dry skin from forming under the eye area. You get medium coverage, which effectively (but not completely) covers under-eye darkness.

Ease of Use: 9.75/10

Apply the concealer directly form the tube and then pat the concealer into the skin with your finger or buff it out using a fluffy brush. The concealer thins out over the skin smoothly without showing streaks.

Price: 9/10

For $24.00 you get 0.12 ounces of product. This is a large amount of product compared to most other stick-form concealers sold at Sephora. But keep in mind that only the center of the tube contains concealer–the outer ring is a hydrating balm.
