Effortless and high impact-that’s the essence of NEW Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick. This do-it-all formula glides on tug-free and can be used to shade, define, smoke up and highlight eyes. In subtle to eye-popping shades that last for up to 8 hours without creasing, flaking or fading, it’s a stroke of genius. Just swipe on and go.
Bobbi Brown’s Nude Beach collection for Summer 2013 comes with two (2) new Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick shades. This review is for Golden Bronze–a deep bronze sugar color.
The Long Wear Cream Shadow Sticks come in cylindrical, plastic tubes with pull-off caps. The tubes twist to reveal more product so that you do not have to sharpen it.
Golden Bronze is a medium, golden-brown with a subtle, liquid-metal finish. This shade has fantastic pigmentation and works both in the crease and on the lid.
The formula for this eye shadow is very creamy without being too soft. The shadow glides over the skin. This shadow dries and sets within a matter of several seconds. After that, it’s smudge-, water-, and fade-resistant. You can definitely use this in the crease as long as you blend the color out immediately.
All of the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Sticks do a wonderful job of staying put without creasing for several hours, even with no primer applied underneath. But Golden Bronze is exceptionally good. There is no trace or sign of fading or creasing with this color, even after eight (8) hours of wear and with no primer applied.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
This shadow’s creamy formula glides onto the skin without tugging on your lid or skipping. Make sure to blend out the color immediately if you’re using it in the crease, otherwise it will dry and set before you diffuse the color.
For $28.00 you get 0.05 ounces of product. Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Shadows contain almost three times as much product (0.14 ounces) and cost less ($20.00). MAC’s Shadesticks contain about the same amount as Bobbi Brown’s Shadow Sticks but cost less than $20.00 each.
