Company’s Description
Just Skin is a lightweight tinted moisturizer with a non-toxic mineral sunscreen and a new complex of botanicals that delivers protection from free radicals, smog and sun. Designed for women and men, this unique skin perfecter provides excellent coverage, smoothes fine lines, protects and enhances the complexion. Just Skin’s anti-irritant, antioxidant and anti-pollution botanical extracts include honeysuckle, edelweiss and green tea. Sodium hyaluronate helps to seal in skin’s moisture. The result is a clean and natural finish.
Chantecaille’s Just Skin Anti-Smog Tinted Moisturizer is said to have an SPF of 15 and excellent coverage while enhancing the complexion. It is available in six (6) shades. The shade I tested and the one shown, below, is Bliss.
Packaging: 9.75/10
This tinted moisturizer comes in a plastic squeeze tube with a twist-off cap and small opening. The packaging is light-weight and opaque, which protects the ingredients inside from sun exposure. The tube also keeps the product sanitary.
Quality: 9/10
Alongside Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer, this is probably an all-time favorite. Chantecaille’s Just Skin tinted moisturizer has a liquid formula that feels light-weight on the skin. It leaves a slightly dewy finish that doesn’t look oily, slick, shiny, or greasy.
This tinted moisturizer gives you light but noticeable coverage. It sinks into the skin, leaving a flawless layer that looks completely natural while still giving you the benefit of evening-out the skin. Of course, if you want heavier coverage (like lightening under-eye darkness or hiding blemishes), you’ll need to use concealer.
I especially like that this product doesn’t break down or get greasy-looking as the day goes on. It maintains a natural finish. And the shade Bliss will match NC/W 15-20 skin.
The only reason this tinted moisturizer is not getting a perfect score for Quality is because of the iffy “SPF 15” claim. The company says this product gives you sun protection, but the ingredients don’t tell you what in the product actually does this and doesn’t tell you whether the sun protection is just for UVB rays or is full-spectrum (for UVA rays too). This is really disappointing, since there’s no way to tell if this product actually protects your skin. So wear sunscreen underneath!
Ease of Use: 10/10
This formula blends into the skin seamlessly. I just squeeze some product into my palm and blend it over my face. Easy peasy.
Price: 8.25/10
This product costs $64.00 and contains 1.7 ounces (50 grams) of product. Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizers cost $43.00 and contain 1.5 ounces of product. Chantecaille is a higher-end brand than Laura Mercier, but even brands like Clarins and Dior have tinted moisturizers that don’t cost as much per ounce as this tinted moisturizer.

Oh I really wanted to like this product, was so convinced that it will be my all times favorite but nooooooooooo, on me with an oily skin it transforms my face into a mirror….I really can’t stand this, so sorry….
I have combination skin, and this doesn’t make my skin look oily. I’m sorry it doesn’t work for you!
This would be pretty tempting with the sunscreen problem fixed (or if we could be assured that it was really SPF 15 and such)…but since I’d need to wear a separate sunscreen anyway, I won’t splurge.
