A super-wearable, sheer, creamy color for stunning eyes. This sheer wash of lightweight, creamy color is easy to wear and will make your eyes pop. Layerable and long-wearing, simply glide one on for a swift tint, contour with another to add depth, and yet another to highlight. Best of all, it never needs sharpening—just swivel up to reveal more of the shadow.
Clinique’s Chubby Stick Shadow Tints are cream-formula eye shadow pencils that come in 12 different shades. This review is for Massive Midnight–a midnight blue shade.
This eye shadow comes in a plastic jumbo pencil that twists at the base to push up the product. The cap slides on and off.
Massive Midnight is a deep blue shade with extremely subtle silver shimmer particles.
This eye shadow’s formula glides onto the skin easily, but this color’s pigmentation is not as smooth as I’d like, especially once the color is blended out. Even when applied against the lid in a straight line, the blue color isn’t as rich or opaque as it seems when swatched.
Massive Midnight works well as a blue base or if you want a translucent blue color on the lid. But there are superior options if you want a bolder blue eye look.
This color went about two and a half (2.5) hours without primer before starting to crease. It went about twice that long over primer.
Ease of Use: 8/10
This blue shade didn’t blend out smoothly through the crease area, and so took a couple of layers to even out the finish.
For $16.00 you get 0.1 ounces of product. You get a good amount of product for less than many of Clinique’s competitors.
