Innovative Cover Girl LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss balm, combines sheer color and soft shine without stickiness! Sheer color, soft shine, no stickiness. Unique twist up form. Shea and mango butters, smooth application and feel.
CoverGirl’s line of Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balms contains 16 shades. This review is for the shade #240 Apricot Twist.
If you’d like to see swatches and photos of all of the balm shades, please see this post.
These balms come in plastic jumbo-pencils. The caps slip on and off and the bases twist to push up more product so that you do not need to sharpen anything. The caps are colored to match the lip shade.
Apricot Twist is a soft coral with a slightly glossy finish. The shade has pigmentation but is not opaque and the color you get isn’t as bright as what you see in the tube. I found that, up close, this shade can be slightly uneven, though it’s not noticeable to most people.
The formula is emollient without being overly creamy. The balm glides across the skin. The color lasts for two (2) to three (3) hours and leaves a very light stain on the lips after fading off.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
The pencil form and twist-up base makes application very easy.
For $7.00-$9.00, you get 0.13 ounces (3.8 grams) of product. With Revlon’s Kissable Balm Stains, you get less product for the same price point.
