The Flower Shadow Play Eye Shadow Quad offers four gorgeous shades with color that blends evenly and flawlessly on the eyelid.
Drew Barrymore’s Flower Collection includes four (4) different eye shadow quads. This review is for the Smoke and Mirrors quad.
The Flower eye shadow quads come in white, plastic compacts shaped like pinched squares. The compacts have clear lids and fold open.
Smoke and Mirrors contains a medium, slate brown with a velvet finish, a slate lilac with a hint of shimmer, a satin-finish cream-nude, and a medium, soft brown with a hint of gold shimmer.
The formula for these eye shadows is incredibly soft–too soft. The shadow is very crumbly and doesn’t hold up even under the pressure from a light tap of the brush. This results in a sheer layer of color because most of the eye shadow rubs off instead of adhering to the skin.
These colors began to crease after about five (5) hours of wear without primer and after about seven (7) hours of wear with primer. The colors began to fade before they began to crease.
Ease of Use: 8/10
Be careful not to pick up too much product on your brush because this will produce fall-out. You’ll need to work in multiple layers to build up each color.
For around $10.00 you get 0.21 ounces (6 grams) of product. This is on the pricier side, given the amount of product you get and compared to other drugstore brand quads.
