Gently formulated, the illuminating eye-brightening finishing tool, when applied to the inside of the lash line, reduces the appearance of fatigue and redness around the eyes. Enriched with vitamins A and E, shea butter and jojoba oil, the soothing clarifier is appropriate for sensitive skin.
Jouer’s Illuminating Eye Definer Pencil in Clair is a nude eye liner that is intended to brighten the eye area.
This eye liner comes in a standard, wood pencil. You also get a sharpener–a rarity with pencil products.
I found this pencil to be unusable. The very first time I went to use it (to swatch on my arm), the tip of the pencil completely broke off. Looking inside the pencil, I could see the middle was hollow instead of containing product in the center.
After sharpening the product, it still wasn’t smooth on the skin. And when I tried to use it in the eye area, it was nearly impossible to get the product to transfer onto the soft eye area. And forget about using it in the waterline. The nude shade absolutely did not show up.
Ease of Use: 2/10
With pressure, the nude color eventually showed up when swatching. But the product does not transfer onto the eye area.
For $20.00 you get 0.05 ounces (1.5 grams) of product, plus a sharpener. This is actually a better deal compared to most other high-end brands, especially given the inclusion of a sharpener.
