Lancome’s Gloss In Love line includes 12 new shades and touts a moisturizing, smooth formula. This review is for the gloss in shade 323 Pink Carat–a sheer pink with pink and silver sparkles.
It’s hard to come up with innovative packaging for a lip gloss without being gimmicky. But Lancome’s Gloss In Love tube is innovative in a subtle, fitting way. The gloss comes in a cylindrical, clear, plastic tube and has a doe-foot applicator. But it’s different because, instead of twisting the handle to draw the wand out, you push a small button that pops the handle out of the tube.
Pink Carat is pretty much a clear gloss with pink and silver sparkle in it. It’s not the most exciting color on its own. It’s better to use over a colored lipstick to add some sparkle or if you’re in a conservative environment and can only wear something subtle.
The formula for this lip gloss is very pleasant to wear. It’s not thick or sticky. The formula is moisturizing and smooth across the skin. The lasting power is pretty average–two (2) to three (3) hours before needing re-application. So Lancome’s 6-hour moisture claim is over-stated.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
Because of its sheer color and formula, this gloss is easy to apply.
For $27.00 you get 0.20 ounces. This price-to-product ratio is typical compared to brands like Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, and NARS.
