Drawing long-lasting, intense lines, this highly pigmented, no-budge liquid eyeliner features a waterproof, fast-drying formula that’s made to last. Smudge no more—water, tears, torrential downpour, or anything else the day brings—Indelible Inks Eyeliner boasts serious staying power. Featuring a liquid gel-based formula, that can be applied in thick or thin strokes with a sleek, chic brush or an ultra-fine tip, the long-wearing, waterproof color glides on and stays put for precise application without smudging or smearing.
Le Métier de Beauté has just released a new eye liner, which comes in two (2) different shades and is said to be water- and budge-proof. This review is for the color Artemis–a brilliant blackout-navy.
This eye liner comes in a clear, plastic tube with a twist-off cap attached to a long, thin, brush applicator.
Artemis is an intensely deep blue that contains lighter blue shimmer particles. You can’t really see the individual shimmer particles once this liner is applied to your eyes, but the color does have a slight luminescence to it. This is a great shade for using if you want to venture beyond the typical black liner without going too crazy or being too obvious.
The formula is a cross between a liquid and gel. It’s not as watery or thin as your typical liquid liner and, instead, has more body to it. The formula glides onto the skin in a smooth manner and with good, strong color.
Le Métier de Beauté’s claims about this liner being waterproof and long-wearing are 100% true. This liner won’t budge after it’s dried and won’t run when it comes into contact with water either. I have to remove the liner with waterproof makeup remover if I really want to get every trace of it off my skin. If I use a regular makeup remover or just wash my face, the liner is strong enough that it will still be on the skin the next day.
Ease of Use: 9/10
The brush applicator on this eye liner is extremely thin, giving you a micro-fine line. The brush is also very long, which took a few tries to get used it. But once you’ve adapted and figured out how to get the brush to not hit your lashes, the thinness and length of the brush are great for getting a really smooth, narrow line.
For $28.00 you get 0.08 ounces (2.3 grams) of product. For a luxury brand like Le Métier de Beauté, this is actually a pretty reasonable price for the amount of product you are getting. For comparison, Clarins’ Instant Liquid Eyeliner costs $26.00 and contains 0.06 ounces of product. YSL’s Liquid Eyeliner Moiré costs $34.00 and contains 0.1 ounces.
