L’Oreal’s newest lip product is its Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stains, which are said to be both a light-weight gloss and a stain. The Wet Shine Stains come in 12 different shades. This review is for the shade Lilac Ever After–a nude, dirty-pink.
The Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stains come in short tubes made of gold-colored plastic. The base of the tube twists to reveal a teardrop-shaped doe-footed applicator. The tube itself is very light.
Lilac Ever After is a classic “my lips but better” shade in gloss form. The color deepens my natural lip shade just a little. This color should work on a wide range of skin tones.
The Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain formula is extremely emollient. It glides on without feeling sticky or gooey. It dries slightly after a few seconds without becoming sticky and while still leaving a glossy finish to the lips. The product doesn’t have any offensive smell or taste.
This lip product is also long-wearing. It’s transfer- and fade-resistant, lasting for a good three (3) hours before the gloss part wears off. But even after the surface of the product has faded away, there’s still a hydrating effect left behind to keep your lips moisturized. This product also tints and stains the lips, but this effect is hard to see with Lilac Ever After because the color is so close to the lip’s natural color.

For around $10.00 you get 0.21 fl oz (6.2 ml) of product. This is on the pricey side, especially given the amount of product in the tube.
