A luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish. Adds buffed-up highlights to cheeks or an overall ultra-deluxe polish to the face. Pairs two rich, contrasting shades with the graphic impact of a luxe powder design. Limited-edition Divine Night packaging.
This review is the 3 new, limited-edition Mineralize Skinfinishes releasing with MAC’s Divine Night Collection. The following shades are reviewed and depicted:
- Centre of Attention: Pastel peachy pink with fine pink shimmer / 24 carat gold shimmer
- Perfectly Poised: Bronzy coral with golden tones / creamy beige with pinkish purple sheen
- Scene to be Seen: Mauve with pink sheen / brick rose with gold reflects
These MSFs come in standard MAC packaging but have a gold MAC logo and cost $3.00 more than regular MSFs. The compacts are plastic and come with snap-shut, flip-up tops. The pans are dome-shaped.
Each pan contains 2 shades: one shade occupies a large portion of the pan, and the other shade occupies a smaller, bucket-shaped area on the pan.
Centre of Attention is an almost imperceptible highlighting shade on the skin, despite the fact that it’s pink and gold in the pan. There’s nearly no pigment to the color once it’s applied to the skin and would really only work as a subtle highlighter.
Perfectly Poised is a pink mauve with a pink sheen that’s almost duo-chromed. This shade has pretty good pigmentation, but, like Centre of Attention, has trouble adhering to the skin. It isn’t entirely smooth on the skin.
Scene to be Seen is a soft copper color that has a very subtle purple sheen because of the chrome in the cream shade in the pan. Again, the pigment is decent in this shade, but it could be creamier and more adherent to the skin.
These are my least favorite MSFs that MAC has released. The powder is gritty and dusty. It makes a mess and shimmer particles fly everywhere when you put the brush to the pan. The powder doesn’t adhere well to the skin, especially with Centre of Attention.
