- Midnight Mambo: Intense violet
Midnight Mambo is a bright violet shade with micro-shimmer. The color has great pigmentation with a semi-translucent finish. You can build up the color or leave it sheer.
MAC has come out with many lipsticks that have this color, so it’s not new or unique. But if you don’t have a bright violet yet in your collection, Midnight Mambo is a great pick.
The formula is moisturizing, though it’s not the most moisturizing lipstick I’ve come across. It will keep your skin hydrated for as long as the lipstick lasts on the skin–for about three (3) to four (4) hours with normal wear. The shade also leaves behind a translucent stain.
This lipstick costs $22.00 and contains 0.12 ounces (3.6 grams) of product. MAC’s regular lipsticks cost $15.00 and contain 0.1 ounces (3 grams). You get more with the Mineralize Rich Lipstick, but you also pay more per ounce.
