A luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish. Smoothes on: adds buffed-up highlights to cheeks, or an overall ultra-deluxe polish to the face.
This review is for the three (3) new, limited-edition Mineralize Skinfinishes releasing with MAC’s Tropical Taboo Collection. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:
- Adored: Coral with light beige pearlized pigments
- Rio: Bronze with bright pink pearlized pigments
- Lust: Pale pink with cranberry pearlized pigments
These MSFs come in standard MAC packaging. The compacts are plastic with flip-up, see-through, snap-shut lids.
Adored is a light, slight frosty, peach-pink. Lust is a very light strawberry pink. Rio is a soft pink mixed with a soft bronze tone.
Adored has a creamier finish than the other two MSFs. Lust has a slightly more shimmery finish than Rio. Rio is a little surprising because it doesn’t have a strong bronze color, which it looks like it would have given how much of the pan is brown. Adored is best used as a highlighting powder, unless you have very light/fair skin, in which case it could be used as a blush. Lust could be used either as a blush or as a highlighter paired with a similarly-colored blush. Rio is probably best used as an all-over cheek color because of the brown tint.
The formula on all three (3) of these MSFs is soft and buttery, which makes them glide across the skin seamlessly. The shimmer particles are very small for all the shades so, unlike Soft & Gentle, they won’t leave a gritty texture on your cheeks.
MSFs are now $30.00 (yet another price increase) and give you 10 grams of product. This product will last you a very, very long time.
