Five complementary shades that glide on and blend beautifully for infinite day-to-night looks: egg shell, frosty orange gold, light yellow chocolate, deep bronze, blackened plum with pearl. Matte to highly pearlized finish.
This review is for the Veluxe Pearlfusion eye shadow palette in Brownluxe, which releases with MAC’s Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow Collection for Summer 2013. This palette includes shades of egg shell, frosty orange gold, light yellow chocolate, deep bronze, blackened plum with pearl.
This palette contains shimmery egg shell, a light camel brown, a metallic orange-yellow gold, a light milk chocolate brown with gold shimmer, and a dark brown.
MAC states that you can apply these eye shadows wet for a super saturated, metallic effect, or dry for sheer coverage with a soft, sparkling finish. But, applied either way, the shades in the Brownluxe palette have good pigmentation and leave an even finish on the skin. In fact, I wouldn’t really say any of these shades improve when applying them with a damp brush. I’d certainly keep the top two shades to dry application–they don’t have shimmer and so can lose their consistency when applied wet. The bottom two shades become slightly more intense when applied wet, but can also get a little streaky, so apply them in shorter strokes. The middle shade actually loses some of its vibrancy when applied wet, so I’d keep it to dry application.
