Limited edition high voltage blush palette with a shimmering pressing of Pierre Hardy’s iconic avant-garde print.
-Natural, healthy-looking finish that immediately enlivens the complexion
Inspired by the designer’s 2013 high-fashion shoe collection, the Pierre Hardy for NARS collection also includes six nail polish pairs presented in the spirit of his signature shoebox packaging for ultra modern couplings of conceptual color.
The Pierre Hardy for NARS collection includes two new, limited-edition blushes. This review is for the blush Rotonde, which is a tiger lily shade.
The NARS Pierre Hardy Blush packaging is made of NARS’ classic rubberized black plastic and has a lid with a full-sized mirror inside that snaps shut. The outside of the packaging is a magnet for powder products, which makes it difficult to keep clean. For this collection, the NARS logo stands alongside the Pierre Hardy name on the packaging. The blush compact is also much larger than for NARS’s normal blushes. Inside, the blush is embossed with a gold design.
Rotonde is a strongly pigmented, bold, bright tiger lily orange color. The gold design embossed on the surface of the blush gives the color a distinct gold shimmer. But the design is created via a very thin over-spray, so you won’t get any gold shimmer after the first two (2) to three (3) uses of the blush. Instead, you’ll get a satin-finish orange color.
This formula glides across the skin and blends smoothly. All you need is a light tap of the brush to get this color to show up. Layering the blush will get you a very intense showing of color. The blush lasts all day without having problems with pre-mature fading.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
Rotonde’s strong pigmentation means you don’t have to apply multiple layers of this blush. The formula also blends out smoothly without the need of extra buffing.
For $41.00 you get 0.45 ounces (13 grams) of blush. NARS’s blushes usually cost $29.00 and contain 0.16 ounces (4.8 grams) of blush. You get twice as much product per dollar with the Pierre Hardy blush.
