A silky smooth color gel that “per-fekts” and enhances the appearance of the lips, offering a modern alternative to traditional lipstick, lip gloss, lip plumper, lip primer, and lip treatment. This alleviating color gel is formulated with rich conditioners, vitamins, pure pigments, and beneficial antiaging ingredients that work instantly to enhance the definition and texture of your lips. Lip perfection gel has a velvety texture that applies evenly and effortlessly to moisturize lips without staining, caking, or causing any dryness or peeling, and eliminates that sticky feel associated with traditional wax-based products. Each shade is universally flattering, yet looks different on everyone giving you a luminous look that is one-of-a-kind.
Per-fekt’s Lip Perfection Gel is said to be a modern alternative to your traditional lip product, offering a gel formula that conditions and deposits color. It is available in six (6) different shades. This review is for the shade Hollywood–a classic red.
This lip product comes in a pink, opaque, plastic squeeze tube with a slanted applicator containing a flower design in the middle.
Hollywood is a very pigmented red shade. While strong, the color is still wearable. You can sheer it out for a more translucent layer of color or apply it normally for a more dense application. It leaves a hint of a sheen too, which dies down over time.
The formula feels slightly moisturizing but the texture is also a little powdery. The gloss makes your lips feel soft and hydrated. The gloss also leaves a smooth finish to the surface of the lips and the texture is not sticky. I did notice little spheres on the surface of my lips, perhaps from the oil ingredients included in the product. You can see this effect if you look closely at the photos, below.
The gloss isn’t particularly long-wearing. I wanted to re-apply after about two (2) hours of wear. But Hollywood is a shade that leaves a subtle tint behind on the lips (almost like a stain), even after the layer of gloss has come off.
Even though the ingredients include Spearmint oil, I don’t feel any tingling sensation or irritation. This product also contains Retinyl Palmitate, which is a nice antioxidant bonus for your skin.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
This gloss goes onto the lips smoothly and easily. There’s no skipping or extra pressure involved.
For $24.00 you get 0.33 ounces (10 ml) of product, which is on the pricier side for this amount of product.
