Didn’t think our original 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup could get any better? Well, it has. Our newly enhanced formula has everything you love about the original 4-in-1 and more–same great coverage, same lightweight feel, same no-mess mineral makeup, but now with NEW built-in skincare ingredients, clinical results and sophisticated packaging. Vegan friendly. Paraben-free. Gluten-free.
Pur Minerals has re-formulated its 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation to now include skincare ingredients. This is a powder foundation that is available in 10 different shades and contains SPF 15. My shade and the one depicted, below, is Light.
This powder foundation comes in a silver compact that flips open and has a mirror inside. The compact is a little more bulky than I think it needs to be.
The shade Light should match NC20 very well. Now that it’s summer and my skin has darkened just a tad, this color is ever-so-slightly light on me, but is easily balanced with a little bit of bronzer.
The powder is neither creamy nor dusty. It imparts medium coverage that can be both more sheerly applied with a fluffier brush or give you more coverage by using a flat kabuki or by layering the product. I do find that this powder looks somewhat cakey if you apply it more heavily, though.
This powder does a decent job of not breaking down during the day. It won’t keep you matte for the long-term, though, and the finish does have a slight sheen to it. People with oily skin should opt for a more matte powder and people with dry skin should opt for something more creamy.
A bonus of this foundation is that it provides sun protection. You shouldn’t rely on it as your only source of sun protection (ie you should apply a sunscreeen underneath), but it will give you a boost when it comes to protecting your skin.
This foundation also gets bonus points for containing added skin-benefiting ingredients like Retinol, L-Ascorbic Acid, and Grape Seed Extract.
Ease of Use: 8.75/10
This powder applies to the skin smoothly and evenly. Be careful not to use too dense of a brush, which makes the powder look cakey. If you want more coverage, work in layers instead of applying a lot of powder at once.
