Company’s Description
BB Cream with SPF 25 is skin perfecting super makeup, developed specifically for women who prefer not wear foundation. Better than a moisturizer, better than a foundation. Creates the perfect 9-part regimen in one easy step: Primes, Moisturizes, Minimizes Pores, Conceals, Covers, Smoothes, Mattifies, Brightens and helps Protect. You have to live it to believe it! It’s foundation reinvented!
Rimmel’s new BB Cream is said to substitute for your foundation while priming, moisturizing, minimizing pores, concealing, smoothing, mattifying, brightening, and protecting. This beauty balm comes in three (3) shades. Keep reading for photos, swatches, and a review of all the shades.
Packaging: 9/10
This beauty balm comes in an opaque, plastic squeeze tube with a screw-off cap.
Quality: 8.25/10
Rimmel’s BB Cream has a medium, liquid and slightly mousse-like consistency than blends into the skin similar to the way moisturizer would.
Of the many BB creams I’ve tested, Rimmel’s gives more coverage, providing you close to medium coverage. The product leaves a very dewy finish, and while it doesn’t exacerbate an oily look, you definitely need to set this with powder if you have anything but dry skin. Rimmel’s description of this product mattifying your skin is 100% inaccurate. I also see no minimizing of the appearance of pores. The product is moisturizing, as Rimmel claims.
This beauty balm provides effective, full-spectrum sun protection. But it also contains fragrance, which can irritate the skin and should not be included in skin products, especially ones that market themselves as being skin-protecting.
Overall, I’m more impressed by this beauty balm than many others I’ve tested, but mostly because of the better coverage it gives. Otherwise, there’s nothing especially impressive about this face product.
Ease of Use: 8.75/10
You can apply this beauty balm with your fingers, the way you would rub moisturizer into your skin. You should check your skin closely and blend well because the product can leave streaks behind.

Do you think this will break you out? I tried the Garnier BB Cream and it completly broke me out and it seems about the same consistency.
No. There’s nothing in the ingredients that would cause this.
Thanks for the review! This is the first BB cream I’ve been interested in trying out – I’ll have to pick it up!
Do you think this would cover redness well?
Only mild redness. I still cover my under-eye area and space around my nose/mouth to completely even-out redness.
