Rimmel’s new Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal eye liners come in ten (10) different shades. These pencils are said to give strong color, have a creamy formula, and resist smudging. This review is for the color Taupe.

This eye liner comes in standard wood-pencil form and will need to be sharpened as you use the product.

Quality: 9.5/10

Taupe is exactly as it’s named: it’s a non-shimmery, medium taupe shade. It’s a perfect fit for lining the eyes in the daytime, for a work-appropriate look, or for the lower lash-line if you want to define the eyes without going full smoky-eye.

This liner’s creamy formula glides onto the skin without requiring too much pressure. The line you get is semi-opaque. The formula can be used on the waterline, but it’s not as waterline-friendly as pencils like Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Pencils.

The formula, as Rimmel claims, is smudge- and water-resistant, so you can expect the color to maintain its strength through the day.

Ease of Use: 9.25/10

This isn’t the creamiest or softest formula out there, but it’s certainly creamy enough to transfer onto the skin without using extra pressure and without skipping.

For around $4.50 you get the standard amount of product at a lower-than-average drugstore price.
