Company’s Description

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer is the first full-coverage concealer from Rimmel that visibly reawakens and illuminates under the eyes. It completely conceals spots and other blemishes. Wake up tired-looking eyes and resume your round-the-clock London lifestyle!

Rimmel’s new Wake Me Up line includes a concealer that the company claims is full-coverage and illuminates the under-eye area. This review depicts the shade Very Fair/Light.

Packaging: 9/10

This concealer comes in a light-weight, clear, plastic tube with a doe-footed applicator inside.

Quality: 9.75/10

The shade Very Fair/Light will suit those with skin up to NC/NW 20. It could also work for NC/NW 25 for use just under the eyes.

The formula for Rimmel’s Wake Me Up concealer is very thin and watery, which makes it fantastic for under the eye area because the formula brings moisture to the skin and won’t make that area look cakey or emphasize lines. Even though the formula is watery, it does a good job maintaining pigmentation through the blending process–it won’t just wipe away. The finish for this concealer is very natural because of the watery consistency.

Despite Rimmel claiming that this is a full-coverage concealer, I get more of a light-to-medium coverage from it. The concealer is effective at covering under-eye discoloration and at brightening the under-eye area without making it look shiny or shimmery. If you have very dark circles under your eyes, you’ll need a heavier-coverage concealer. You can also use this concealer on other parts of the face, but I find that its best use is under the eyes.

Ease of Use: 9.5/10

This formula glides over the skin effortlessly and sinks in without showing streaks or settling into fine lines. You can also effectively layer the concealer to get more coverage.

Price: 8.5/10

For around $9.00 you get 0.23 fl oz of product. This is the standard amount of product you get in a drugstore concealer, but the price is on the high side, especially for Rimmel, which is one of the most affordable drugstore brands.
