Beautiful light reflective finish gives buildable coverage that can be soft on the eyes or richly intense. The glossy surface and depth of color and dimension make these colors wearable.
Senna’s Midnight Wine collection for Fall 2013 includes warm brown and berry tones. This review is for the 2 eye shadow shades released with the collection: Coppertina and Cordovan.
- Coppertina: Gold sparked copper
- Cordovan: Bronzed wine
Senna’s eye shadows come in round, flat compacts with frosted plastic lids that snap shut.
Coppertina is a pale copper shade with gold flecks. The color is soft but has good pigmentation and, when applied to the lid, goes on evenly with a hint of sparkle.
Cordovan is a warm-toned milk chocolate color. It has no shimmer particles in it but leaves a sheen on the surface of the color. This is a great crease color as well as a lid color. The color blends out smoothly.
These shadows have a formula that’s neither stiff nor overly powdery. I think they could be a tad creamier, but it’s a good formula regardless.
Without primer, these didn’t start creasing until after 4 hours of wear. With primer, there was very slight creasing after 5 hours of wear, and more creasing after about 7 hours of wear.
Ease of Use: 9/10
Both Coppertina and Cordovan pack well onto the lid and blend out smoothly through the crease.
For $18.00 you get 0.07 ounces (2 grams) of shadow. This is a pretty typical price-per-ounce of product compared to similar brands.
