- Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Captivating

This palette comes in a large, circular compact made of plastic that flips open and is decorated with the Aqualillies collection design. The compact contains a full-sized mirror inside.
The Shimmering Powder in Champagne gives off a very subtle, almost colorless shimmer with one layer. If you apply two (2) or three (3) layers, the powder gives off a very light champagne-gold color with a noticeable frost finish. The formula is smooth and blends beautifully over the skin.
The Mineral Powder Bronzer in Park Ave Princess also has great pigmentation. You only need one layer to effectively contour with this powder. To get a more subtle showing of color, you can use a fluffy powder brush. The finish isn’t entirely matte–it has more of a velvet finish–but it can still be used for contouring because there are no perceptible shimmer particles in it. The color also doesn’t have any unflattering orange tones to it.
The 12-Hour Blush in Captivating is an apricot-peach color with a satin finish. The shade has wonderful pigmentation and blends over the skin smoothly, even though the formula seems a little dry in the pan. This is the type of color that will work with a very wide range of skin tones and colors.
The eye shadows, generally speaking, have great pigmentation and a buttery formula that glides across the skin. The only exception is Poolside, which is a litter stiffer in the pan and doesn’t give off the vibrant color you see in the pan. Other than that, though, the eye shadows in this palette are fantastic.
Overall, this is a wonderful eye and cheek palette. The powders blend over the skin smoothly and have good color. You get a mix of matte and shimmery finishes with the eye shadows, and everything you need to give the face color.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
The formula for the powders in this palette all have enough softness to transfer onto the skin easily and blend out evenly. The only exception is the eye shadow in Poolside, which you will want to layer and put over a base if you want a more vibrant color.
For $38.00 you get a highlighter, bronzer, blush, and six (6) eye shadows. You get 0.14 ounces of highlighter, 0.13 ounces of bronzer, 0.23 ounces of blush, and a total of 0.24 ounces of eye shadow. To put this price in perspective, a stand-alone Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush contains 0.2 ounces and costs $26.00. You are definitely getting a deal with the Aqualillies palette.
