An intensely black, volumizing mascara with an hourglass-shaped brush that separates, coats, and curls each lash to voluptuous perfection. Inspired by the curves of a woman’s body, the hourglass-shaped brush was designed with extra stiff bristles to maximize the performance of this carbon black, collagen-fueled formula. One coat and lashes are full and defined. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled, and dramatic. Three coats help you achieve the most intense, black, multidimensional lashes possible.
This review is for Too Faced’s newest mascara–the Better Than Sex Mascara–which is advertised to give you full and defined lashes.
This mascara comes in a pink-colored metal tube. The wand is made of plastic bristles formed in an hourglass shape.
This black mascara has a formula that is neither watery nor thick. Your lashes will gain definition and length, but not much volume. This mascara splays out my lashes more than most other mascaras I’ve tested. I didn’t have much trouble with clumping, but you shouldn’t put on more than two (2) coats, otherwise the lashes start to look spidery.
This formula has excellent staying power. It doesn’t flake or smudge and also resists producing that shadow along the lower lashes that I often get with other mascaras.
Overall, this mascara’s formula is great and it does a good job of defining and separating the lashes. I just wish it gave my lashes more volume.
