Wet n Wild has just released a new line of products in its Fergie CenterStage Collection. The collection includes four (4) Photo Op eye shadow palettes that each contain five (5) colors. This review is for the palette in Metropolitan Nights.
This face powder comes in a rounded square compact with a snap-shut, clear, flip-up lid.
The upper left shade is a frosty white shade with great pigmentation and a strong sheen. The formula is buttery-smooth.
The upper right shade is a yellow-gold color. The underlying yellow pigmentation is translucent and there’s a strong presence of individual gold shimmer particles.
The bottom left shadow is a shimmery olive-taupe shade. The formula is much more stiff compared to the other shadows in the palette and the pigmentation is weak.
The bottom right shadow is a black with a light presence of gold shimmer. The color is smooth and nearly opaque.
The middle shadow is a matte black with impressive pigmentation and a smooth finish.
Ease of Use: 8.5/10
The olive shade needs multiples layers and applies in a dry manner. The white shade is the easiest to use because of its soft quality. The two darkest shades pose a quandary. On the one hand, they are pigmented. On the other hand, the formula doesn’t blend out as easily or evenly as I’d like. Use a fluffy brush if you’re applying these into the crease and apply them in very thin layers.
For just $5.00 you get five eye shadows for a total of 0.19 ounces (5.5 grams) of product.
