A four-in-one air-whipped soufflé formula that adds a flush of color to cheeks. This lightweight formula packs four must-have qualities into one formula: a powder to add a pop of color, a stain to give staying power, an illuminating highlighter, and a cream to deliver a flawless finish. Water-resistant, each pot combines Becca’s bestselling Beach Tint with a Shimmering Skin Perfector™ for effortlessly buildable, complexion-enhancing color, soothing hydration, and a youthful glow.
Becca’s brand new Beach Tint Shimmer Souffles are whipped blushes that are said to be long-wearing and illuminating. These are available in the following 6 shades, all of which are reviewed here:
- Fig/ Opal: nude infused with golden opal
- Lychee/ Opal: bubblegum pink infused with golden opal
- Guava/ Moonstone: coral infused with pale gold
- Watermelon/ Moonstone: coral red infused with pale gold
- Papaya/ Topaz: bright tangerine red infused with golden bronze
- Raspberry/ Opal: raspberry infused with golden opal
These blushes come in clear glass jars with plastic, silver-colored, twist-off lids. The product inside looks like a mosaic of two colors.
All of the Shimmer Souffles contain two colors: one for illuminating (the gold shade) and one for bringing color to the cheeks. The gold contained in each Shimmer Souffle not only brings an illuminating quality to the blush, but also softens the other color found in each jar. Overall, each blush has good pigmentation and leaves an illuminating finish that doesn’t look glittery or overtly shimmery.
The most bold Shimmer Souffles are Papaya/Topaz, Watermelon/Moonstone, and Lychee/Opal (in that order). You might be surprised by the overall color you get from some of the other Shimmer Souffles. For example, Fig/Opal and Guava/Moonstone work more as illuminators than as blushes. They’d probably only work as blushes for people with skin lighter than NC/W 20.
The Shimmer Souffles have a whipped gel/cream formula that’s extremely lightweight on the skin, blends out nicely, and layers effectively. I wouldn’t say these “stain” the skin the way Becca says it will, but I don’t see any fading of the color until about 6 hours of wear.
Overall, these blushes are stunning, both in the jar and on the skin, and are very pleasant to wear.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
This formula spreads out over the skin nicely and does not need to be set with powder.
